Hey. So it's been a little while since i've made a blog post but let me explain: School has been such a pain recently as my teachers have been bugging us about meeting deadlines and scaring us with words like "failing" and "will not pass" (Typical). Being the paranoid girl that I am, I just couldn't let go of my work. At this point, I'd have to say school (NCEA L3) is more important than (as much as I love writing for you lovely people) blogging. I promise next month will be a post festival on here, so much so that you'll get annoyed by all my Instragram/emails telling you how there's a new blog post up. Anyway, so I realised a few days ago that you don't really know me all too well and I feel like I need to strip things down to basics again and tell you a little bit more about myself - No i'm not self absorbed - I just want you all to know who's behind the screen and what I get up to. I think a lot of the times, people think Fashion/Lifestyle bloggers are some kind of beautiful goddess that leads such a great life, and in some cases they do, but there is more than what meets the eye. Take a look at a few facts about me - get to know me a little better.

WINTER LOOKBOOK 2014

It may seem strange to you that I have shot Sophie for two blog posts in a row, but when I styled the clothes while planning this shoot, I immediately thought of her. I thought that her features and style will suit the clothing perfectly, I was right - she pulled everything off. I wanted someone who could not only pull the outfit off, but also look like an angel in every outfit I throw at her - as pretty as the angels you see in cartoons where they carry little crossbows and wears flower crowns. Now, in New Zealand at least, it's so, so cold. I don't even remember Auckland being this cold during Winter throughout my life in this country. We shot these photographs on Sunday and it was surprising to both of us that we even had one day with the sun out - It was raining and cloudy throughout the whole week, so that was lucky. Although I did kind of feel bad because even though there was sun, it still felt under zero degrees to me. What made it even worse was that we were at the beach which naturally (That pun, get it?), it will be one hundred times colder with the wind.  Sophie was wearing shorts, a thin trench coat and a turtle neck (Sorry, Soph!), If I were in her position, I probably would have went into fetal position and cried. MIUSIGNY BY ME

The one time I decide to explore deeper into the fashion world through Instagram, I came across this brand. It intrigued me. I don't remember exactly what I searched up or hashtagged, but I found what you're about to see in approximately one minute, or two if you're a slower reader. Miusigny. I took a deeper look onto their website and found a whole range of previous collection editorials that I absolutely fell in love with (One of the photographs is my laptop wallpaper now, too). I subconsciously liked a whole load of photographs, followed them and commented on whatever they had on their Instagram then closed the app to get some lunch - a girl's got to eat. 
A few hours later, I received an email from the lovely Moeko - Miusigny's PR girl. In that email, she explained to me that Miusigny is coming out with a new second line called 'Miusigny by ME'. The basics: Miusigny is a Japanese American clothing brand that is inspired by you beautiful ladies (yes, you. - If you're a male reading this, you're pretty awesome too.) and another thing you need to know about this brand is that the designer of these clothes, Miho, is from Japan however, is residing in New York City. She has worked for big names such as Marc Jacobs and Oscar de la Renta (fangirling) - You may have heard of them, I don't know.

THE ARRIVAL OF WINTER

I think it's safe to say that Trelise Cooper is one of my favourite clothing brands out there. It's simple, fun and comfortable bu- Alright - wait, can we just pause for a minute here... so, before I continue, I'm just going to apologise in advance that the quality of the photographs you're about to see aren't up to standard as my other ones but that's just because one, I'm not the one taking the photos. Second, the lighting was (let's use a word without throwing the 'S' bomb) crap because it was cloudy that day. Third, my camera is honestly the worst thing ever. 

(continuing) -but sophisticated at the same time - I mean, that's hard skill to master. I go to The CO-OP in Takapuna on a weekly basis because I love the store and clothing so much (and Zoe, the store manager that works there everyday except for Friday and Saturday, is hilarious and great to talk to), although I don't buy anything because the clothes aren't at my budget - It's still ok to admire it, right? The coat that I'm wearing above is by far my favourite thing in the store and is by far my most wanted. It's heavy but don't let that deceive you, it's so damn soft! If you wear it, you'll probably forget that it's a coat and not a blanket you bought from heaven.
