An Australian brand called Shilla - Quite unknown but beautiful nevertheless (Poor quality iPhone photo, sorry!) |
I've always wanted to book a model for some professional test shots however I don't think I have the courage to as my camera equipment isn't anything special, maybe in the near future it will happen but for now, I feel like I'll just stick with professional selfies instead of taking up becoming a professional photographer. Besides, by booking models, what will I use the shots for? Take a look at the selfies I took yesterday! (I think it was yesterday? I have the memory of a goldfish)
This year, the trend I saw at the Britomart Fashion Sessions 2014 was the dewy skin. If you asked me a few years ago what the trend would be, it'd be complete matte however, the trend seems to get dewier and dewier. For people with naturally oily skin (cough, me) this is the perfect time to embrace that shine! Of course, powder your T-zone as no one wants to look like a disco ball but certainly, embrace the shine on your cheekbones, cupids bow, forehead and brow bone! Oh natural is the way to go these days... less is more! This trend will be beautiful for Winter because everyone will stay with a matte complexion however, be different and go glow!

I volunteered for Britomart Fashion Sessions 2014 this year and I didn't want to seem unprofessional, that was the last thing I wanted to do, but I had decided to take a few quick snapshots of what it was like. This is the first time I had ever experienced anything remotely close to a fashion show so it was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever gone through. If you're ever thinking about volunteering, I urge you to. It's going to be hard work, carrying hundreds and thousands of goodie bags up and down the stairs, setting up chairs and sticking seating arrangements, but it will be worth it. I promise you will not regret it.
