Oscar de la Renta Fall 2013 Ready to Wear (John Galliano)
Makeup: Gucci Westman
Hair styling: Orlando Pita

This beautiful fashion show is probably one of my favourite shows in the whole entire world - not to mention, this show includes the top models from all around the world. (Top models include: Karlie Kloss, Cara Delevingne, Daphne Groeneveld, Kasia Struss, Lindsay Wixson, Xiao Wen Ju & much more...) One thing you need to know about me as a general rule is that I love anything from Fall collections, beautiful and sophisticated, but elegant at the same time - It's what this designer, the legendary Oscar de la Renta has done. How hard is it to pull off that kind of a standard? Even the most fashion designers get it wrong sometimes - very wrong. This collection pulled off very bit of that standard. It's the perfect mix of glam without looking trashy/drag queen-ish (Excuse my choice of words there).

It's been a year since this collection was shown but this collection is still fresh and mesmerising to watch every time. I'm completely speechless about this collection, it's so gorgeous and perfect in every way. From memory, it's one of the first shows that ticked all the boxes for me. The whole time I was watching this show, I was just thinking, "Tick, tick, tick, tick. All the boxes are checked for 'my' perfect show". You'll notice I'm not going to be writing much because the photographs and video does a lot of talking for me. Things like this speaks for itself. Take a look at what I'm talking about.

As I write this, I don't know what to call this yet but I was inspired by Katherine is Awesome's Highs and Low(e)s to write this blog post. I come across things that piss me off and am happy about every month and would like to release some of that anger and excitement with you (I'm not an angry person, I promise! I don't need anger management - this will do).

I am currently still at school and so naturally, I get pissed off at little immature kids. I am currently a Fashion & Lifestyle blogger and so naturally, I get pissed off with what they wear (aka. slutty clothing) - don't get me wrong, I know it doesn't and shouldn't affect my life which is completely fine but I'm talking about the physical affects (Wow, I'm speaking like as if it's going to kill me or something - sometimes it feels like it will). Let me explain.

Teanabeautyxo. Never heard of her? Where have you been? A few days ago, I sat down with this golden goddess at a cafĂ© and had a small interview with her after she kindly agreed to meet up to do this. She is a fairly new YouTube beauty guru from New Zealand that does many celebrity style looks and is rising quickly in her YouTube career. It's an amazing thing to watch her grow so fast actually! Teanabeautxo currently has over 3,500 subscribers and yes, it may seem like a little amount compared to say... Michelle Phan - BUT, her channel is growing as we speak and I can see a bright future for this girl. She is a 17-year-old Arabic that's partnered with StyleHaul. Her videos captures your attention like no other and has a personal touch and unique flare that makes you have that urge to subscribe and want to be her best friend. This girl is down-to-earth, fun, bubbly and I genuinely mean that. I'd also like to add... She gets her eyeliner perfect EVERY TIME. She is the next big thing. I won't say too much about this wonderful human being and let her do the talking.

In this interview, Teanabeautyxo talks about how her YouTube channel came about, her views on educations vs YouTube, girls wearing makeup at a young age, how she dealt with people finding out about her channel and many more hilarious stuff. Get to know more of her from a whole new level.

Enter the magical interview, you won't be disappointed.

Before my Term 1 school holidays, I've always had the finger-tingling urge to practice my photography skills on human beings. People. I'll be the first to admit that I really do suck at photographing things that move (Not filming a film, but taking stills as the objects move). One, because it's tough enough that my camera isn't the best (Yeah, I know, you're thinking "Alright, Nicole. Blame the camera then..." but truly, my camera is a DSLR but without a detachable lens) and two, because the object is MOVING, I always need to think about capturing the right moment without making it blurry. Three, because I'm the best at procrastinating and don't really bother to practice much. That's what's tough about editorial photography, folks. Taking photos for Vogue and major magazines is NOT easy, I know the level of 'tough' now.

With these difficulties in mind, knowing that I am able to improve, I wanted to practice as soon as possible and who else to do it than one of my greatest friends, Shanelle. She kindly accepted my invite to take photographs of her, despite the fact that I really am horrible at it. I chose her as my model for the day because of her wonderful features (THOSE CHEEKBONES, WOW) that looked more than photogenic on camera (I thought, maybe she'd make my photography look less horrible than it already is). - I hope I did those features justice. I know that I can improve on so much more, if only... *cough* I had a new camera.

Take a look at my absolute favourite shots from the photoshoot and what Shanelle is wearing!
